The latest 2018 edition of the Legal 500 has been published and Slee Blackwell’s injury lawyers have again been included among the recommended teams.
The Legal 500 is an independent guide to the legal profession. Competition for inclusion in this prestigious guide is fierce, with only a handful of firms achieving that status.
The work of our injury lawyers has caught the eye of the independent researchers with a number of areas of law being particularly highlighted.
the 2018 edition endorses our expertise in relation to Animal Act cases, particularly dog bites and also road traffic accidents and sexual abuse claims.
Among the cases highlighted by the publication was a claim in which we recovered £30,000 for a dog bite victim who had the tip off his nose bitten off by his neighbour’s dog.
Another case where we successfully recovered compensation for a vet who was attacked and bitten on the face and arm while undertaking an examination of a dog at work was also mentioned.
Credit was given for our work with historic sex abuse cases against schools, local authorities, churches and the Scouting Association.
We were also noted for dealing with cases against care homes involving substandard care, suffering and injury.
Partner and practice head James McNally was singled out for particular praise. The researchers speak to clients and barristers and base their findings on the feedback they receive. James was described as being highly ‘responsive’, providing ‘expert legal advice around the area of animal law in the UK’ and as having a ‘genuine concern for the welfare of his clients’.
